February 11th 1995 - Dominion Theatre, London
This was the first time i saw Grease with my friend Sharon. Drew was one of the original cast members, creating the role of Roger. Other cast members included Shane Richie (Danny Zuko), Ben Richards (Kenickie), Sonia (Sandy), and Richard Calkin (Sonny). Grease marked Drew's West End debut.

July 20th 1996 - Manchester Opera House.
Drew recreated his role of Roger in the national tour of Grease, a part which he made his own, with his manic laughter and sexy boxer shorts!!! No one since Drew, who has played the part of Roger, has come anywhere close to Drew's performance. He is the 'Mooning Champ!!!'

October 23rd 1996 - Manchester Opera House

October 23rd 1996 - Manchester Opera House.
Today was the first time we met Drew. I took him a little present, a chocolate heart, and gave it to him when he arrived. But the thing which made the day special was that night after seeing both shows. Drew came out and remembered me from earlier that day when I gave him the choccy heart. I got him to sign my t'shirt. He was really lovely.

After Manchester Grease moved onto Birmingham. Ian Kelsey replaced Shane Richie as Danny Zuko, and Drew went on as Roger, well for a while!! I never got to see him in Birmingham because we went a week after he left so we just missed him!! Typical!!
That was the last time Drew was a T'Bird, he hung up his leather jacket, flattened his quiff and moved onto other things, and boy was it hard trying to find him again!!!
But Drew will always be the best 'Mooning Champ'!!
