Drew was one of the original cast members in the Boy George musical "Taboo", at "The Venue" a converted dance hall just off Leicester Square.  The show started on Monday 14th January 2002, it was originally running to April 2002 but was extended until April 2003.  Drew created the role of Steve Strange, the welsh nightclub owner/singer!  In his last 2 weeks in the show in September 2002, he swapped his welsh accent and hilarious version of 'Fade to Grey', for a wedding dress, and bagels for the role of Philip Sallon.  And what a great job he did.
26th February 2002.  The Venue, London.
When we found out that Drew was in Taboo we didn't know what to expect, and we weren't sure if we would like it, Drew wasn't sure if we would like it either!!  He was really surprised when we told him we enjoyed it!!!
The show was really good Drew was really funny as Steve Strange, he had to do a funny welsh accent, and wear really strange clothes.  He also had to sing a few lines of "Fade To Grey" originally sung by Visage, and he sang "Out Of Fashion", with other cast members Euan Morton(Boy George), Mark McGee(Marilyn) and Luke Evans(Billy).
22nd April 2002.  The Venue, London.
It was Sharon's 21st birthday on the 23rd April, and we couldn't resist the idea of going to stay in London for a few nights and to go and see Drew in Taboo.  And what a memerable few days they were!
The show was really funny, the part where Philip Sallon (played by Paul Baker) goes around with bagels and picks on people in the audience, well he stopped and picked on Sharon!!!!!  It was really funny!!
After the show we saw Drew, and we had pictures taken (above).  He decided to do funny poses, standing behind us with his two fingers up!!!
23rd April 2002.  The Venue, London.
Today was Sharon's 21st birthday.  At around 5.00 I met up with Drew, without Sharon, for him to sign a card I had for her.  And then in the evening we went to see the show again!!  And what fun it was!
The show was really funny, the same thing as last night happened again, Philip (aka Paul) picked on Sharon again!! But this time got the whole audience to sing Happy Birthday to her!!!!!  It was soooo funny!!!!  She blamed the whole thing on me!!
After the show we saw Drew, and took some pictures, he did some posing with the 'Taboo' board which was outside.  We had a great few days, a lot of fun!!!  We couldn't have done it without Drew!!!! Sharon still blames me for the stuff that happened in the show!!!!

27th-28th September 2002.  The Venue, London.
This would be the last time we would go to see Drew in Taboo, because Saturday was his last day in the show.  We went to the show on the 27th, and also went to his final matinee on the 28th.  For the past 2 weeks he had been playing the role of Philip Sallon.  He did a excellent job, he was so funny!!  He is such a great performer, and he looked great in the wedding dress!
