At long last it is time to reveal what we've all been waiting for!!
Drew's long awaited new project is called "Robin and the 7 Hoods".
Drew has taken the original film version, which starred the likes of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr, and has adapted and created a superb new musical.
The story is based on the original film, but Drew has adapted it in a way in which the story is more focused on the Robin Hood story. It will feature many well known Rat Pack songs including, High Hopes, Mr Booze, Come Fly With Me, and My Kind Of Town.
The workshop took place on Friday 25th February '05, and I was lucky enough to attend with Shaz, Mitch and Paul. The performance was excellent, receiving a standing ovation at the end. Considering the cast had only been together for a week they all did a fantastic job. Well done to the cast.
And well done to Drew and his fellow members of the Triple Act team. We wish you all every bit of success with the show.
After the performance we managed to see Drew briefly. He was relieved it all went so well, and surprised by the audiences reaction. He was very proud - which he should be. |
